July 2005

BRM Motorsports has been privileged to be working with 2006 Formula BMW USA hopeful, Robert Thorne.  Coming from a successful karting background, Robert was keen on adapting to the driving style required of the FB02 chassis.  After several test days with the team, Robert will be off to Valencia for the first round of the 2005 Formula BMW USA licensing school.

September 2005

After a successful first round at the 2005 Formula BMW USA licensing school, 2006 Championship contender Robert Thorne returned to the invite-only scholarship shoot-out.  Having spent some more time in the FB02 with the BRM Motorsports team, we felt confident in his ability to obtain one of only five $40,000 Formula BMW USA scholarships.  Young Robert did not disappoint.  With his natural talent for driving, and his desire to succeed in this highly competitive series, we feel strongly in his ability to put himself on the podium with consistency in the 2006 Championship.  We wish him luck!

January 2006

BRM Motorsports has developed the Performance Reward Package for our 2006 Formula BMW USA drivers.  This is a funded program that rewards our drivers based on their performance at the track.  Payout structure is as follows:

$5,000 - 1st Place

$3,000 - 2nd Place

$1,000 - 3rd Place

$1,000 - Pole Position

$10,000 - Championship Winner

To be eligible for the Performance Rewards Package, you must be a contracted driver competing in the full 2006 Formula BMW USA Championship with BRM Motorsports.  The Performance Rewards will be presented at the conclusion of each race weekend, pending official results.

If you are interested in joining BRM Motorsports for the 2006 Formula BMW USA Championship season, or would like to join us for a scheduled test day, feel free to call us.  We would be happy to discuss our testing schedule, season plans or further details of the Performance Rewards Package with you.
